Role
Design & Art Direction by Xavier Duah
I led the experiential design of a campaign that transformed NYC subway cars into immersive cultural portals. Each car was designed to evoke a specific destination—Ghana, Peru, North Carolina, and more—through layered sensory elements like scent, ambient soundscapes, and cultural activations.
The UX extended beyond the train: a redesigned subway map guided riders through six global stops, while limited-edition MetroCards served as collectible touchpoints, creating a cohesive, multi-sensory journey. Every detail was crafted to spark curiosity and offer riders a meaningful, momentary sense of belonging—turning a daily commute into a passport-free adventure.
